Story by Michelle Dougherty, Eileen Cowley & Victoria Coffey

We are three sisters living in New Jersey with ten children between us. Being of Irish- American heritage, we have always loved celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with parades, parties, music and dancing.

Our children inspired us to add some family fun and magic to our favorite holiday by sharing the story of Silly McGilly.  Whether or not you’re Irish, our hope is that Silly McGilly adds magic and St. Patrick’s Day fun to your home.

Illustrated by Charlotte Cheng

Charlotte Cheng likes to draw on walls, sidewalks, faces, and once in a while, the good old traditional piece of paper. During her recent trip to Ireland, she enjoyed the beauty and charm of its places, people, art, and food. She is constantly dreaming of her next trip back to green hills and glorious music.

Charlotte’s artwork has been featured in exhibitions, conventions, and picture books. Her recent project, A Moment in Time, won the Reader Views Literary Awards for Best Children’s Book and a Gold Medal from the Gelett Burgess Awards. You can see more of her work at: www.charlotteillustrations.com.
